For the last three days (Canmore to Brooks) we picked up an extra rider. My cousin Lee from Calgary became a rider and fundraiser for us. Although we obviously did not use his kms to add to ours he rode ALL the kms he was with us... 400 in total! In addition to this his law firm and my cousins dental office donated $2000!!! What a great deal!
Yesterday we left Calgary (great city) after a great fundraiser with the Calgary Police and got our bikes fixed up at MEC... they were great to us as all the MEC stores are... a new chain and 4 boxes of protein bars!
On our ride into Brooks we stopped of at the Siksika reservation (clients of my cousin Lee's)... upon our arrival there we were greeted by their Chief at which time he donated money on behalf of the Council and people of the reservation.
Couldn't have asked for better times over the last few days... just hoping that our next few are rain free, although the forecast looks bad!
Next stop Medicine Hat, Swift Current, Moose Jaw and into Regina for Monday!
